How can I find criminal records in Oklahoma?

30 November 2008 No Comment

I am trying to research a case where someone was convicted of murder in Oklahoma in the 1960's - maybe around 1965. Does anyone know of a web site where I can access public criminal records for Oklahoma going back that far? I believe that the crime took place somewhere near Tulsa. I searched using the major search engines but I'm just not coming up with much.

Your research sounds exciting. I love doing detective work where I'm going through records trying to piece together a new take on a crime that no one else thought of (I did this very thing for a college paper and blew the socks off my instructor). Criminal records are public information, so they can be accessed by anyone. In Oklahoma, I think you need the person's full name and date of birth.

You can do an Oklahoma criminal records search online by going to http://www.detectiveu.com/oklahomacriminalrecords/
