How to do rental application background check for international applicants?
I'm renting out my condo. The strangest thing happened. A couple from Germany is coming by to check out the condo. Gotta love property management 
So my question is, how the heck do I do a background check on someone who recently lived in Germany! LOL.
The reason they are here in the U.S. is because they have a very good job with a multi-national corporation that is locating them here for a few years.
I recommend you contact a places like Intelius and ask if they offer such a service on doing a background check on someone from Germany. Go to intelius.com to get their 1-800 phone number.
What you don't want to do is to skip the background check, that you would normally do on a rental application, thinking it's just too much effort. As far as you know, this couple could be on the run from authorities in Germany for murder or some other scary crime.

You can contact your local Housing Authority and ask them how to go about it. Also call HUD, Housing & Urban Developement and talk to them.
